About two weeks ago, my wife awoke\u00a0around 1:00 am\u00a0to use the restroom.\u00a0 What she found in her bathroom was an inch of water everywhere.\u00a0 She, of course, woke me up to investigate.\u00a0 We spent the next three hours cleaning up the water in the bathroom and office.\u00a0 Thinking we did a good job of cleaning up, we went back to bed at 4:00 am.<\/p>\n
The next morning, the water restoration company was called for an assessment of the damage.\u00a0 I have been told to get an official opinion before reporting a claim to your insurance company.\u00a0 The news was not good, and the insurance company was called.<\/p>\n
Two weeks later and the leak has finally been fixed.\u00a0 Just the leak.\u00a0 Under the slab.\u00a0 We still have no flooring in the bedroom, master closet and the office.\u00a0 About half of my house is out of service because of this disaster.\u00a0 Needless to say, I currently do not have a shortage of challenges to deal with.\u00a0 Luckily, I am told I have good insurance, and in the very near future, we will put the claim to the test.<\/p>\n
Water\u00a0leaks seems to be common in Florida, and I have had several clients who have had to deal with them.\u00a0 From my experience, when dealing with water leaks\u00a0it is imperative that you\u00a0have three things – first, patience; second, good\u00a0insurance; and lastly, of course, a good attorney.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
